Opening Ceremony of the 2025 World Games

There are 34 major events, 60 sub-events and 256 sub-events in this competition, and the traditional events with great historical and cultural heritage such as martial arts and dragon boat are set up. There are also parkour, Frisbee and other youthful emerging sports, including trampoline, rock climbing, waist flag football, softball, hockey tennis, squash and other official events of the 2028 Los Angeles Olympic Games.

The World Games will have 27 competition venues in 8 competition areas, and more than 4,000 athletes from more than 100 countries and regions around the world will gather to compete brilliantly. The Chinese sports delegation has 489 members, including 321 athletes, who will participate in 152 events in 28 sports, which is the largest scale and the largest number of events since China participated in the World Games.

During the World Games of Chengdu, various cultural experiences and themed consumption activities will be held to build a diversified cultural exchange platform and event consumption scenarios, so as to build a platform for enhancing cultural exchange and mutual learning for athletes and youth from all over the world.
